This project consisted of a 8,200 square foot addition to Brusly Elementary School. The addition is a concrete slab on grade single story. The walls were constructed of concrete masonry units with brick veneer on the exterior. The roof structure was constructed of steel bar joists and metal decking with a modified bitumen roof over rigid insulation. The new addition functions as a multi-purpose space which includes a stage, restrooms and lobby. The Head Start program side of the new addition includes three smart classrooms, administration and reception area, a one-on-one instruction room, conference and meeting room, laundry closet and break room. The project site work included decorative metal fencing, aluminum covered walkways, landscaping and related site work.
